Adventure beckoned. On Saturday, August 8th, Dan, Mark, and I headed out to Seward to climb Mt. Alice. We were optimistic despite a poor weather forecast, obvious fog, and intermittent visibility. Nonetheless, we carried on in hopes for a window of opportunity to summit. After multiple hours of hiking, climbing, and negoitating challenging rock and ridges, we decided to turn around at about 4,400 feet. The mountain was socked in with clouds and the weather deteriorating quickly. The desire is always to summit but the goal is to get down safely. All in all, we had an unbelievable 8 hours of adventure. Epic!
